Project; Dresser

I have posted a few different times about working out a plan for my dresser and time and time again I have put it off.  I could never come up with a pattern or design that I liked on it so I habitually put it off and I FINALLY found a pattern that I loved and knew that it was what I was going to do.



Materials:

Frog Tape (I bought a few monsth ago)

I believe it was $7-8 roughly.

Sherbet Colored Painters Markers.

9.97 at walmart.

I started off with a solid white dresser.. 3 drawers.. and my inspiration..

My inspiration is a Lilly inspiration, Lilly Pulitzer that is.. And she is a southern girls dream!

The stripes were my other inspiration, and this too is Lilly.

The Process:

I had to figure out how to do the flowers and I found that working from the inside out was the easiest for me.

I made a lot of the flowers fall off the side to fill up the space.

Then I of course did the normal Lilly thing and I placed her name in a few places on the drawer.

The most time consuming part of course was the little star/flower things and they took a very long time!

Okay so you get the idea...

Now for the stripes...

And for the ALMOST finished dresser.. and by almost finished I mean still needs a white coat.. and I still need to find drawer pulls that I love!

Im pretty much in love and I freehanded it all.. NO stenciling whatsoever..

But Ta-da..
