I dedicate this post to...

So if you follow me on twitter you more than likely know that my niece and my nephew really are my world!  I love the little monsters to death!  But I am constantly at my sisters with them taking them swimming, hanging out or out to Tball games or practices.  I try to take them a couple of times a year to do something just me and them!  Earlier this year in February I took them to Disney LIVE, at Rupp Arena and they loved it.  It was the princess stories so I told Kaydon who is 6 that it is a little girly and he may not like it as much as Keylee, after it was over we were walking to the car and he said "Why did you say that I wouldnt like it?  I loved it!"  I thought it was great and I was very glad that he liked it because he is all boy and into nothing but sports!  But anyways with that aside they are my only niece and nephews none of my other siblings have kids yet but of course I have baby Kingston who will be my 2nd nephew on the way, my sister is due in August!

I work for Toyota in the Child Development Center as a teacher and they have 2 shut downs a year one in July for a week and one in December for a little over a week.  Im planning a trip to Chicago with my sister Thristian for August originally it was July but work wouldnt allow, if I wait until August I can use paid vacation.  I was racking my brain trying to figure out what I could do in July on my week off which with weekends included will be 9 days.  I thought about what I have been wanting to do this summer and it came to me.  Our little day long excursion will be at the beginning of the week and we are heading to:

The Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden

They love the zoo and I thought that this would be a fun thing because it is so involved and of course still educational!  They love the trains and of course I always enjoy going to the zoo as well.  I called my cousin Allison the other day to ask if her daughter Taylor who is 13 would go just to be extra eyes while we are there.  I figured we would get there at 9 or 10 A.M. (It is a over an hour drive from home) and stay until 3 ish, and then Im hoping when I load the kids into the car they will nap and I figured I will commute through town with the intention of letting them nap for an hour or more.

BUT to top off the day they both love going to Baseball games and of course we will already be in Cincinnati so I figured it would be perfect to go to a Reds game!

Cincinnati Reds

Of course this will be kind of expensive with food and all but I figured Im going to buy the tickets over my next 2 checks so it is less of a burden.  The reds tickets alone will be over $100.00 unless my Step dad can get me some for cheaper (He goes to a million reds games a year)  But Im excited and Im not telling them so it will be a surprise!  I like it better that way..  I have actually considered staying in a hotel in Cincinnati overnight so we have less of a trip and the kids and swim and go back for a nap between the zoo and the game!

Im so glad that I am close to my niece and nephew I dont udnerstand how some people cant, I know that when I aventually have children of my own I will still do things with and for them!
