It's Fall Y'all

Hello there! Please excuse me for my constant hiatus.. During the summer I am outdoors all the time and then that on top of working 40 hours a week and not getting home until 6:30 usually, I feel like any down time I have is just me and my nike shorts and a sweater and the TV.  Since it is now Fall, my absolute favorite season, I have made a couple of trips to the craft stores this weekend and I have a couple of random projects going on.. I have my sisters Christmas gift, which I will get in to, in a minute, and a little candy thing with some canvas for my kids at work for Halloween, and a few picture transfers to wood.

I was lucky enough to get the chance to take my niece and nephew out with my to spend some time together today and we had a blast!  I was able to take them to the Pumpkin Patch (one of my absolute favorite places) and we did a little shopping and had lunch.  Then we came home and carved pumpkins played around a lot and I finally shipped them back home to my sisters house.  Here is our fun journey.

After we left Hobby Lobby this morning we stopped at a greenhouse and decided to buy some pumpkins.  This is before we decided to go to the Pumpkin Patch so it seems a little silly now.  We seen this very large white pumpkin and the kids took a picture with it.

So we got to the pumpkin patch and it really is a great one and the kids ran straight to these slides, and proceeded to go down a million times.

Next in line was this insanely large castle made from hay.. The kids loved it and honestly probably spent more time running and climbing in there more than anywhere else.

Another Brother, sister moment.. They really do love each other, even though they constantly argue.  But the sun was out in full force today, event though you can tell in these pictures but it explains the extreme squinting.

These things "Rat Racers" are always a blast but some of the parents dont watch their children (which drives me CRAZY)  and kids would cut in front of us and jump in them after we stood there waiting for 5+ minutes for their turn.. But when they finally had their turn they loved it.

And we of course could not leave without a very large bag of Kettle Korn.. and we made a huge dent in the bag by 10 minutes down the road.

So we finally got home and we ralaxed for about 30 mintues, long enough for me to charge my camera, because lord knows I head to the pumpkin patch and my Canon was dead, meaning that all of the above pictures were taken with my iPhone. The following pictures were taken with my Canon..

Home and ready to clean out our pumpkins.

I cut the top off and I let them clean it out :)

I of course made them have plastic bags to put the "Guts" in.

He didnt mind the "guts"

Outside of these pictures and the time that I spent with my niece and nephew, I started working on my sisters Christmas present.

Wreath was 4.99, The white spray paint was .98 and the Krylon Light turquoise color was 5.99 with 30% off.

I put a couple of coats in white.

I put this on here to see the difference because the lighting made it hard to see the difference between the white and the turquoise.

This is after a few coats of turquoise paint.
This is where the "Picture This" comes in to play.

So Im taking the turquoise wreath and Im tying a large very floppy black fabric type ribbon to it, and then in the center Im adding a 8 X 10 wooden block in the center and Im transfering a picture to the wood and adding the word "Welcome" to it.  (Im getting the kids pictures done next month as a part of her christmas present) and Its gonna be very cute when Im done, but it wont be finished until next month!
